Reiki and How Distance Healing Works

Reiki has been getting a lot of attention these days and is surging in popularity in the alternative healing and wellness industry. This healing technique uses a gentle and non-invasive energy that flows through a certified Reiki practitioner’s hands to help relax, rebalance and restore the body on physical and emotional levels. It is never harmful and can be used as a complementary modality to western medicine and other holistic health practices. The word Reiki is Japanese and means universal life force energy. In other cultures it’s commonly referred to as chi or prana.

Reiki has also moved into the mainstream. It is being used across the USA in hospitals, veteran centers, and animal clinics/shelters. In fact, celebrities such as Dr. Oz, is consistently promoting it on his show. There are also more than 30,000 nurses who use this healing method to help reduce pain and anxieties of their patients.

Treatments can be given in person or offered to clients as Reiki distance healing. This is an effective way to help allow the energy to flow in your body, reduce pain, and remove negativity. In recent weeks, everyone has actually learned what the definition of distance energy healing without even realizing it.

Through this pandemic, millions of people have been brought together globally in meditation and prayer for healing our world. In NYC, we are clapping at 7PM every day as a community while we do not even see each other. When we participate in this group activity, we are sending the energy of healing and love to each other. When our thoughts are filled with intention and mindfulness, it is powerful.

The same concept applies to a distance healing session between a practitioner and the recipient. Energy healing is directed to the person receiving the treatment using connection, focus, and compassion. This can happen anywhere and at any time. A client can be 1000 miles away from their practitioner, and still receive the same healing as an in-person session.

Many Reiki clients actually prefer distance energy healing. Sessions can be done by phone or zoom. Clients enjoy being in the comfort of their own home or environment. They don’t have to travel or deal with any external stresses and can just relax after the treatment.

Reiki helps with a wide range of issues, such as:

  • Alleviating anxiety and stress.
